Debian is suitable for daily use as a desktop or server, with support for ARM and x86_x64. Offering LTS releases, that are supported for five years, and two other versions, testing and unstable. Testing is a semi-rolling release which has some newer packages and is more active. The unstable branch is always called sid, it has the most updated packages but it is suggested that you subscribe to their mailing list for potential update breakage.
