Enlightenment

Enlightenment is a lean, feature rich environment. It is a compositing window manager with a semi-minimal desktop. It strikes a good balance between simplicity and function. Official Site

To Install: #

Preferred method

Enlightenment often requires the EFL libraries, it is best to install everything during distro setup .

sudo pacman -Su efl

then

sudo pacman -Su enlightenment
sudo apt install enlightenment
sudo dnf install enlightenment
sudo zypper in enlightenment

Additional install options

In some case you may need to install or compile a newer version of EFL, please consult the manual

Essentials #

If you don’t have a display manager, LightDM or Greetd is suggested.

Available #

There are more EDL applications, however they are difficult to find. A good place to start is either through a supported distro or Enlightenment’s download page.
