Kwrite

Kwrite is a light, responsive text editor for KDE. It is similar to Kate but has less features, this is why it is quicker. It still has syntax highlighting, word completion, auto-indentation and some plugin support.

Best to use a Package Manager

To install Kwrite on Arch, it is bundled with Kate

sudo pacman -Su kate
sudo apt install kwrite
sudo dnf install kwrite
sudo zypper in kwrite

Additional install options

For a stand alone install you can use the flatpak.
